A family practice since 2009

Steady, familiar care for every generation of your family

For seventeen years, families across Benin City have trusted us with their health, from a grandchild's first fever to a grandfather's blood pressure. We take our time, we keep careful records, and we come to you when you cannot come to us.

Our story

A practice since 2009, on the same quiet stretch of Ihama Road

Willow Crest opened its doors in 2009 with two consulting rooms and a simple conviction: a family should be able to keep the same doctor for years, and that doctor should know them well.

Much has changed in Benin City since then. Sapele Road and Airport Road have grown busier, and many of the children we once weighed on our scales now bring children of their own. What has not changed is the way we practise: careful history-taking, honest explanations, and patience with older patients who deserve to be heard in full.

Today the practice looks after some 3,100 registered patients, many of them living with hypertension or diabetes, and we keep the same unhurried pace we began with.

The Chronic Care Programme

Long-term conditions deserve a long-term plan

High blood pressure and diabetes rarely announce themselves, and they are seldom cured. They are managed, steadily, month after month. Our Chronic Care Programme gives that work a proper structure.

Members are seen on a fixed monthly schedule, their readings are charted across years rather than single visits, and the practice nurse telephones whenever an appointment is missed or a result needs attention.

  • A named doctor and nurse for every member
  • Monthly reviews with readings charted over time
  • Kidney, eye and foot checks on a set calendar
  • Reminder calls to you or a nominated relative

In our patients' words

Trusted across the generations

My father is 81 and can no longer manage the corridors of a big hospital. The doctor comes to the house every month, checks his pressure and sugar, and sits with him to talk. He looks forward to it.

I was diagnosed with diabetes here in 2011. Fifteen years on, the practice still has every result I have ever had. When my HbA1c began creeping up last year, they noticed before I did.
Mr. Felix O.Patient since 2011, Sapele Road
Three of us are registered here: my mother, myself and my son. The receptionist knows all our names. In a city this size, that is not something you take for granted.
